I've never taken any of the classes the FIA offers, but I've heard good things about them. I've browsed through the art museum a few times, and it was always a good experience. The museum is a bit small, but it's a nice shot of culture in the Flint area.

I have taken a couple of classes at the Institute. I have to admit I am not very talented, but I do like to go in and try and I always end up having fun. I think their prices are average to high. They offer many different classes to adults and children. Give them a try, learn something new!

The Flint Institute of Arts has a great program set up for community members to take classes in various mediums all year round. They offer everything from painting to pottery. I took a pottery class over the summer and it was a great experience. The teacher was very friendly and helpful...and most of the materials were provided. There was a one time payment up front (which was very reasonable given the number of classes you received) and then all I had to pay for was the clay. It's a great place to go to express your creativity without having to go and buy your own kiln.
