National Register of Historic Places for Flint, Michigan

 

Flint, the third largest city in Michigan, began in 1819 as a trading post, and in 1825,the first individual to actually settle was from New York. Today, a greater part of the city’s development is due to the automobile industry.

Assembly of the first car that was developed by Louis Chevrolet, and built with assistance from William Durant, the founder of General Motors took place in Flint. The city has abundant historic and cultural points of interest that are spread throughout the region.
